I’m Greg Burdine and this is my attempt to publish my thoughts.
I’m 50 years old (for the first time), have been married to my college girlfriend for 28 years, have four grown adult children, and pastor a growing Baptist church in rural Michigan. My passion is to help people understand who God wants them to be.
I’m new to blogging, so I have probably gone about it all wrong. But I figured it’s better to start and adjust later than never to have started at all. Maybe I can help you understand my Blogs. I’m going to talk about a lot of things in these posts, especially things that I’m passionate about. So, you will find that I have categorized my blogs into several major categories. (1) Family – I want to write about the stuff that happens in my family. I love my family! (2) Church – I pastor a great church. So, I want to include some things that would interest those who are familiar with Faith Baptist. (3) Bible – I have some of my sermon notes and other thoughts about Bible passages/topics. (4) Just Thinkin’ – These are just my thoughts about various topics. (5) Book Reviews – I read a lot of books and I include my review and ratings of some of the finished projects.
I’ve also given a short explanation of my categories within the “Posts at a Glance” sidebar. Just look around and if you want to talk about anything I’ve written about, join me in the conversation. Or if my posts spark an interest in any direction, I’d love to journey with you in the discovery of truth and fulfillment.

So………….your sister sent me the hyperlink to your website. Dude! Someone(who shall remain nameless) is looking a little long in the tooth. I can hardly talk. My hair is as white as my mom’s. Too much trouble with the upkeep. You may want to change the 49 to 50. Half a century…can you believe it?!! Joanie told me she had her grandkids hunt Easter eggs in the back yard of the Barbara Drive house. Memories!! Some really good ones–others I’m a little fuzzy on. I am old now you know. No grandkids for me yet. Only the daughter is married. No one will take my boys. Tried to sell them when they were younger until I finally willing to give them away. No takers. They’re all mama’s boys. Can’t get them out of the house now. Oh….just when you get a fleeting glimpse of freedom..only to have it crushed like a bug. Maybe, some day. Need any farmhands out there in cow country? I’ll throw in their feed for a month!
Sounds like life is treating you well. I perused your book selection. Always looking for something good to read. Anyway, I better get back to work. Tell Judy hello. I’m going to work on that Love your Enemies message. Do sisters count?!!

Long lost cousin – indeed!
Sorry to hear about Darrell. Didn’t know him well, but always seemed to be a great guy. Hope your mom is doing well.
Let’s get together sometime in the summer. Talk with Joanie & others around Middletown and set up a “Sorrell Reunion” even though there aren’t any “Sorrell’s” left. That’s what happens when you only have girls. They mess up everything.
We’re doing fine in Wolverine country. Get down a little more often now that the 2 girls (both married) are in Ohio. Life slows down when the kids are out of the house.
Hint to get the kids out of the house – Bring out the 70s clothes from the basement. Tell Darin (did I get his name right?) to wear his Larry Bird short shorts & long socks & you get out the tube top & I guarantee somebody’s leaving the house.
Sorry it took long to reply – We’ve had lots of stuff going on at church.
